Here is a summary of Our Work that we are able to accomplish in our community.
- A Watered Garden is a 501 c3 non-profit faith based organization dedicated to offering educational and personal growth opportunities to individuals and families. Creative programs make a difference by opening dialogue and communication between cultures. Individuals and families build capacity to move from poverty to prosperity in their home and community through communication, cooperation, and collaboration.
- We are recruiting volunteers through Western Washington University and Whatcom Volunteer Center. We have trained bilingual volunteers to assist with the free IRS VITA tax preparation services now available in our computer lab.
- We offer additional resources for families as partners with the Opportunity Council, Whatcom County Adult Basic Education and Literacy Organizations, Bellingham Technical College, Western Washington University, Nooksack Valley School District, Food Revolution, Bellingham Food Bank Community Garden, Bellingham Goodwill, WSU Extension Office 4-H and Strengthening Families programs, and Adventist Community Services to continue “watering seeds of change for effective family transformation through adult and family education.”
